A day at MY Office....

A normal day at the office for me includes....

Packing lunch for my daughter and having time to sit down and talk to her about what her school day will be like before taking her to the bus stop and wishing her a great day. Then off to drive my son to preschool.  No rush, no worries about being late for work.

A call from a team member who is excited to share with me that her commission is enough to make her car payment in full....her house payment in full.....three house payments in full.  We talk about how funny it is that she started selling Thirty-One just to get the discount, and we end up crying because she's going to promote to Director soon and start making even more.  I tell her to remember this moment because soon, she's going to be the one getting phone calls from women on her team who are realizing their true potential too, and they're going to thank her for her leadership and encouragement.  I never knew this woman before she joined my team, but I can't imagine life without her friendship now.

Lunch at Nuvibe with a hostess whose order came in yesterday.  We talk about her new grandchild, her plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas several states away with her children. I never knew this hostess before she booked a Thirty-One party with me, but she has quickly become someone I'm incredibly grateful for in my life.  Caring and kind, wise far beyond her years, a genuine Proverbs 31 woman...and I cherish her friendship.

Time to pick my son up from preschool and hear all about his day and what he learned.
Afternoon brings an hour or so of getting new team members ready to roll.  Phone calls to welcome them to the team, learn more about them and answer their questions...this always results in getting to know another incredible woman who is excited to start her Thirty-One business and achieve her goals.  Another opportunity to make another great friend.

A quick trip to the post office to mail off a hostess packet to a woman who is teaming up with her best friend to host a Thirty-One party.  They want to get in on December's hostess special, so we set the date and time, go over what her customer special is so she can talk to her friends and family about it, make sure she has enough catalogs and order forms and plan to talk again next week.

The phone rings.  A cousin in Alabama wants to load up on Thirty-One gifts for the people in her office, so I show her how she can get all of those gifts and turn it into a party order where she gets free and half price items for herself.  Score!  She has finished all of her shopping for her coworkers and has gotten a Cindy Tote and Organizing Wallet for herself at a steep discount.  Her order will ship directly to her in Alabama and she never had to leave the house to get all that shopping done.  She bought something for the men as well as the women, all out of the same catalog.  A great deal!

Off to the bus stop for kid number 2.  Time to sit back and plan for the evening.  What's for dinner?  I pick up my sons and we get time to go home together and do their homework.  No rushing, no fuss.  I can help them with their homework, read the papers they've brought home, sign permission slips, listen to their stories about their day without distraction and happy to be home with my children.

My evening isn't filled with rushrushrushing because throughout the day, I was able to get a couple of loads of laundry out of the way, empty the dishwasher while on the phone, run the vacuum cleaner on the living room rug before I left for lunch and mop the master bathroom before going to the school pick up line.  Homework is done, dinner isn't a rushed hassle and I never have to stay up half the night getting slides ready for a meeting like I used to have to do sooooo often.

This is a regular day in my 'office'.  What's it like in yours? Interested?? email me: mmartin2328@yahoo.com
